Responsive Call to Worship: Psalm 95:1-9
Leader: Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
All: Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
Leader: For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods.
All: In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
Leader: The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
All: Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
Leader: for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice,
All: “Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness,
Leader: where your ancestors tested me; they tried me, though they had seen what I did.”
Prayer of Adoration
Hymn of Praise: Hymnal #32 Great is Thy Faithfulness
We Confess Our Faith
Responsive Reading: 1 John 1:1-4
Leader: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched —this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
All: The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
Leader: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
All: We write this to make your joy complete.

We Confess Our Sin
Call to Confession: Psalm 51:1-5
Leader: Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
Silent Confession of Sin
Assurance of Pardon: 1 John 1:9; Psalm 32:5
Leader: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
