Responsive Call to Worship: Psalm 28: 6-9
Leader: Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.
All: The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
Leader: The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
Prayer of Adoration
Hymn of Praise: Hymnal #94 (verses 1-4, 6) How Firm a Foundation
We Confess Our Sin
Call to Confession: From 1 Timothy 1: 15
Leader: The good news is this: Christ came into the world to save sinners. Let us therefore open ourselves to Christ’s saving love as we humbly confess our sins, and in faith receive cleansing.
Silent Confession of Sin
Corporate Prayer of Confession:
All: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, hear our prayer. We have failed, God, to love You as we should. We have failed to love others as we love ourselves. We have chosen wrong when we know what is right. We have rejected Your rule and submitted ourselves to lesser kingdoms. Restore us, O Lord, and teach us Your way. Give us undivided hearts, that we may fear Your name. Then we will praise You, O God, with all that is in us, and glorify Your name forever. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon: Romans 8: 35, 37 – 39
Leader: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
