Responsive Call to Worship: Psalm 5: 7, 8, 11
Leader: But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you.
All: Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness make your way straight before me.
Leader: Let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.
Prayer of Adoration
Hymn of Praise: Hymnal #111 This Is My Father’s World
We Confess Our Sin
Responsive Call to Confession: Hebrews 4: 14 – 16
Leader: Since, then, we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession.
All: For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin.
Leader: Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Silent Confession of Sin
Corporate Prayer of Confession:
All: Gracious God, we come before You with humble hearts, knowing that we have fallen short of Your glory. We confess that we have sinned in thought, word, and deed. We have been quick to judge others while overlooking our own faults. We have been selfish and have failed to reflect the grace and mercy You show us through Jesus. Forgive us for the times we have neglected the needs of others and missed opportunities to act justly and with compassion. Help us to live each day in a manner that reflects the forgiveness we have received and the hope we have in Jesus. In His holy name, we pray. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon: Romans 4: 7 – 8
Leader: Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight. Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.
