Responsive Call to Worship: Psalm 145: 17 – 21
Leader: The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.
All: The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
Leader: The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
All: My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
Prayer of Adoration
Hymn of Praise: Hymnal #2 O Worship The King
We Confess Our Faith
Responsive Reading: The Apostles’ Creed
We Confess Our Sin
Call to Confession: From James 4: 6 – 10
Leader: “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, and purify your hearts. Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
Silent Confession of Sin
Corporate Prayer of Confession:
All: Merciful God, You know all things and You know us even better than we know ourselves. Yet we confess that we often fail to trust Your divine wisdom and care. Forgive us for the times that we turn away from You. Remind us that You are the Lord our God, all-powerful, our eternal protector, our compassionate guide, and that our times are in your hands. Help us to humbly seek your presence and power in our lives. In your great mercy and love grant us by the power of Your Holy Spirit the ability to trust You in a deeper manner. We pray this in Christ’s Holy Name. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon: Romans 5: 6 – 8
Leader: You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Hymn of Assurance: Hymnal #455 And Can It Be (verses 1,3,4,5)

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
