One of the men said, “It’s like you’re actually glad to have us here.” So, a very big thank you to everyone who brought a huge blessing to all who attended.
A Moment for Ministry: Thank You from Pastor Jeff
Responsive Call to Worship: Psalm 100
Leader: Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!
All: Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Leader: Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
All: For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations.
Prayer of Adoration
Hymn of Praise: Hymnal #1 All People That On Earth Do Dwell
We Confess Our Faith
Responsive Reading: Heidelberg 1
Leader: What is your only comfort in life and in death?
All: That I am not my own, but belong— body and soul, in life and in death—to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ. He has fully paid for all my sins with his precious blood, and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil. He also watches over me in such a way that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven; in fact, all things must work together for my salvation. Because I belong to him, Christ, by his Holy Spirit, assures me of eternal life and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for him.
Hymn of Response: Songs of Faith #20 Christ Is Mine Forevermore
We Confess Our Sin
Call to Confession
Silent Confession of Sin
Corporate Prayer of Confession:
All: God of grace, love, and hope: We confess we have failed to love You with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love our neighbors as ourselves. We ignore Your commands, we stray from Your way. We follow other gods. Have mercy on us, O Lord, and forgive us. Through Your grace, love, and hope, restore and transform us. Help us to serve You faithfully and give honor to Your holy name. We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon: Romans 6: 22 – 23
Leader: Now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Hymn of Assurance: Songs of Faith #13 Arise My Soul Arise
We Give Thanks To The Lord
Tithes and Offerings
Offertory: Jesus is All The World To Me (in the setting of Rubenstein’s Kamennoi-Ostrow)
Will Thompson (1847-1909) son of wealthy parents, attended the New England Conservatory, and devoted much of his talent to composing hymns and gospel songs. His most enduring classic was ‘Softly and Tenderly, Jesus is Calling’ which has been used in many movies. The Thompsons built a large hilltop mansion in East Liverpool, Ohio which still stands and is known locally as “the Softly and Tenderly house.” He wrote the Thompson Method books for piano.

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
