Responsive Call to Worship: From Zechariah’s Song regarding the birth of his son, John the Baptist Luke 1: 68 – 69, 76 – 79
Leader: Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
All: For he has visited and redeemed his people and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David.
Leader: And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways, to give knowledge of salvation to his people in the forgiveness of their sins,
All: Because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Assurance of Pardon: Galatians 4:4-7
Leader: But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons and daughters. And because you are sons and daughters, God has set the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba, Father!’ So through God you are no longer a slave but a son and daughter, and if a son or daughter then an heir.
