A Moment for Ministry: Update from Fiaz

Responsive Call to Worship: Psalm 111: 1 – 4, 7 – 10

Leader: Praise the Lord!  I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation.

All:         Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who delight in them.  Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever.

Leader: He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful.

All:         The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.

Leader: He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name!

All:         The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

Prayer of Adoration

Hymn of Praise: Songs of Faith #27 Behold Our God

We Confess Our Sin

Responsive Reading: Psalm 25: 6 – 11

Leader:    Remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.

All:            Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord!

Leader:    Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in the way.

All:            He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.

Leader:    All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.

All:            For your name’s sake, O Lord, pardon my guilt, for it is great.

Silent Confession of Sin

Prayer of Confession

Responsive Assurance of Pardon: Proverbs 28: 13; Isaiah 12: 2

Leader: Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

All:         Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.
