A Moment for Ministry: Women’s Retreat
Responsive Call to Worship: Isaiah 2: 2 – 5
Leader: In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest of all—the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills and people from all over the world will stream there to worship.
All: People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.”
For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion; his word will go out from Jerusalem.
Leader: The Lord will mediate between nations and will settle international disputes. They will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer fight against nation, nor train for war anymore.
All: Come, let us walk in the light of the Lord!
Prayer of Adoration
Hymn of Praise: Hymnal #1 All People That on Earth Do Dwell
We Confess Our Sin
Call to Confession: 1 Peter 2: 24 – 25
Silent Confession of Sin
Corporate Prayer of Confession: Adapted from the Valley of Vision Man A Nothing
All: Lord, I am fully convinced of the evil and misery of my sinful state. When you would guide me, I seek to control myself. When you would be sovereign, I seek to rule myself. When you would take care of me, I seek to satisfy myself. I fault and correct your laws to suit myself. Instead of you I look to man’s approval, and therefore, am by nature an idolater.
If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness.
Take me to the cross and show me the sufficiency of Christ to cleanse me from all my sin and unrighteousness. Let your love and mercy subdue my stubborn heart. Take away my self-sufficiency and my love of self, my roving eye, my curious ear, my greedy appetite, my lustful heart; that I may walk not just in forgiveness, but in newness of life after you. Amen
Responsive Assurance of Pardon: From Jeremiah 31: 31 – 34
Leader: This is the covenant that I will make with them, after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds…I will remember their sins and misdeeds no more. In Christ you are forgiven.
All: Praise be to God
Hymn of Assurance: Hymnal #501 (1,3,5,6) Just As I Am
We Give Thanks To The Lord
Responsive Reading: Psalm 36: 7 – 9; 2 Corinthians 9: 15
Leader: How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
All: God’s abundant grace has flowed from the cross to our hearts. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
