A Moment for Ministry: Bella Pregnancy Resource Center’s Annual Baby Bottle Fundraiser

Responsive Call to Worship: John 7: 37 – 38; Revelation 21: 6, 22: 27

Leader: On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”

All:         I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment.

Leader: The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

Prayer of Adoration

Hymn of Praise: Songs of Faith #33 May the Peoples Praise You

We Confess Our Sin

Responsive Reading: Jeremiah 2: 13; Isaiah 1: 16 – 18

Leader:    Thus says the Lord, My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

All:            Wash yourselves; make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.

Leader: Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

Prayer of Confession

Silent Confession of Sin

Assurance of Pardon: Psalm 103: 8 – 12

Leader:    The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

Hymn of Assurance: Songs of Faith #40 He Will Hold Me Fast

We Give Thanks To The Lord

Tithes and Offerings

Offertory: Give Me Jesus/ Negro Spiritual— Guest Violinist Asher Burke- The plantation songs are the spontaneous outbursts of intense religious fervor. The cadences of sorrow invariably turn to joy, and the message is ever manifest that eventually deliverance from all that hinders and oppresses the soul will come, and man will be free.

Prayer of God’s People

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
