Responsive Call to Worship: Colossians 1 : 15 – 20; Revelation 5: 13
Leader: Christ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
All: For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
Leader: And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
All: And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.
Leader: For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross.
All: “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
Prayer of Adoration

We Confess Our Sin
Call to Confession:
Leader: All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; yet we are justified by the gift of God’s grace through the redemption that is ours in Christ Jesus. Trusting in God’s mercy, let us confess our sin.
Silent Confession of Sin
Corporate Prayer of Confession
Leader: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him, yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
All: Most holy and merciful Father, We confess to you and to one another, that we have sinned against you by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength. We have not fully loved our neighbors as ourselves. We have not always had in us the mind of Christ. You alone know how often we have grieved you by wasting your gifts, by wandering from your ways. Forgive us, we pray you, most merciful Father; And free us from our sin. Renew in us the grace and strength of your Holy Spirit, for the sake of Jesus Christ your Son our Savior. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon: Romans 5:1
Leader: Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
