Responsive Call to Worship: 2 Samuel 22: 2 – 4, 47, 50
Leader: The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge, my savior.
All: I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
Leader: The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be my God, the rock of my salvation.
All: For this I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations, and sing praises to your name.

We Confess Our Sin
Responsive Reading: John 1:5b-8
Leader: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him, yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.
All: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from sin.
Leader: If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
Silent Confession of Sin
Prayer of Confession
Responsive Assurance of Pardon: From Psalm 103: 8 – 13
Leader: The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever.
All: He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.
Leader: For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him;
All: As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
Leader: As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
